Summary
A short documentary about the first aboriginal skipper for Sydney’s Ferries in 150 years – skipper Ryan Champley. The young captain received his qualification from the Tasmanian Maritime College and he is now a master. Ryan took on the challenge in order to become a role model for his generation of indigenous Australians. Sydney Ferries and Members of the Transports Reconciliation Advisory Committee (RAC) launched a reconciliation plan in Aug 2019.
